Reading the scores & methodology
This is a research review of public company disclosures, not an independent ESG rating. Ten companies were reviewed on 1 October 2026 against the 15 core-framework criteria, mostly using 2024 performance and 2025 reports. Periods and scopes differ by company and are stated on each criterion.
Each criterion has a qualitative outcome. Positive signal means a documented favorable outcome or practice. Mixed means partial, uneven or limited-scope evidence. Needs attention means an adverse trend or clear shortfall. Insufficient evidence means the review could not establish the metric. These are analyst judgments, not formal grades.
Scores come from two sources. Provisional scores (7, all renewable energy E1) are calculated from an explicit scoring band. Estimated scores, marked “est.”, are derived from the review outcome while the remaining scoring bands are being defined: positive signal = 4, mixed = 3, needs attention = 2. Criteria with insufficient evidence stay pending and are never counted as zero. Because most scores are estimates, pillar subtotals are indicative and should not be used for rankings. An evidence gap describes the limits of this review; it does not mean the company publishes no data or performed poorly.
The data-driven framework is a separate draft with 15 measurement definitions and no scores.

Privacy policy
Effective date: October 6, 2026 · Last updated: October 6, 2026
This privacy policy explains how RE100 ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the RE100 website and the RE100 mobile apps for iOS and Android. The app is operated by RE100, based in South Korea.
In short: RE100 does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address or other personal details. We may collect limited usage data through analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve it. We never sell your information.
1. Information you give us
None. The app has no sign-up, sign-in or forms that collect personal information. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details, and it does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or precise location.
Searches and filters you use in the app are processed on your device to show results and are not sent to us.
2. Analytics
We may use analytics services, such as Google Analytics for Firebase or Google Analytics, to understand how people use the app. Analytics may collect:
- pages and screens viewed, features used and buttons tapped;
- session length, app launches and the time of use;
- device type, operating system, app version, browser type and language;
- approximate location at country or city level, derived from your IP address;
- an app instance or cookie identifier that lets the analytics service recognize repeat visits, stored on your device;
- crash and performance information.
This data is used only in aggregate to improve the app, fix problems and decide which content to add. We do not use it to identify you, we do not combine it with other personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it.
Analytics providers process this data under their own privacy policies, for example the Google Privacy Policy. Data may be processed on servers outside South Korea, including in the United States.
Your choices. On the website, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension that blocks analytics. On mobile devices, you can reset or limit your device's advertising and app identifiers in your phone's privacy settings. The app works fully without analytics.
3. Information collected automatically by service providers
RE100 relies on a few outside services to work. These services may receive technical information that your device sends automatically, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the time of the request.
- Hosting. The app is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
- Google Fonts. The app loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font is downloaded.
- Google Drive. Reports in the ESG Library open in Google Drive. When you open a report, you leave the app and Google's privacy policy applies.
- App stores. If you download RE100 from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may collect information under their own policies, such as download and crash statistics.
4. How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to operate, maintain and improve the app, understand which features and content are useful, and fix errors. We do not sell information, share it for advertising, or use it to make automated decisions about you.
5. Company and ESG data in the app
The company scores, evaluations and reports shown in the app describe companies, not users. They are compiled from public company disclosures and our own research for educational and informational purposes. They are not investment, financial or legal advice.
6. Links to other websites
The app contains links to other websites, such as company sustainability reports and Google Drive. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing any information.
7. Children's privacy
RE100 is an educational tool suitable for general audiences, including students. It is not directed at children under 14 (South Korea) or under 13 (United States), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data retention and security
Analytics data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above and for no longer than 14 months, after which it is deleted or anonymized according to the analytics provider's retention settings. The app is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to analytics reports to the RE100 team.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as South Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California privacy law may give you rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because analytics data is not linked to your name or contact details, we may not be able to find data about you specifically, but we will help where we can. Contact us with any request and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to this policy
If we add features that collect more information, such as accounts, we will update this policy before those features go live and change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
